So our next project is in Osaka Japan….mixing up some Love and Death all in one forgotten little hotel…its going to be a little crazy! We are setting off in January 2012 to start development there and are very excited to have the talented Hikaru Toda joining the latest Native adventure. Ed is also in Kolkata now – production has started on his film The Auction House & The Secret Life of Objects. It is classic Indian chaos but Ed will see the ship through! Thats all for now folks!

HBO take Bengali & Summer 2011

HBO have bought The Bengali Detective for an HBO North American Premiere in November 2011. We are pretty peached about this. Summer is in London – so the Natives have fled to Italy to rest up on the beaches, whilst Ed has gone to the Southern Hemisphere to Argentina to film housewives in the cold… Coming up – a very big Cuban surprise, a lot of writing and generally the life thing continues…

Sundance, Berlin, Hot Docs, New York & Fox Searchlight

The Natives are now quite exhausted after racing to finish Bengali Detective for its premiere at the heady heights of Sundance and then onto the mighty Berlinale. Fox Searchlight bought the remake rights after the first screening. We had fabulous sold out audiences and great reviews in both festivals; from the Holywood Reporter to Screen Daily to the BBC and more. Catch them here: BENGALI FESTIVAL PRESS… The film will also be screening in IFFLA in Los Angeles, Hot Docs in Toronto and INYFF in New York.

Rights Universal, Lion Safaris and Hackney Turkeys

Our 4 ambitious ‘Rights Universal‘ films, shot on the new RED camera, went to plan. Nobody drowned on the underwater shoot and as of yet, the MoD has not sued us for filming with a contributor whom they have under a national gag order. Director Lisa now wears a rabbit on her head as part of a cunning disguise. Ed returned from successful filming in Africa, we are awaiting a pet lion in the studio. Phil has become overweight in 2008, (at least it rhymes) and ‘la bella’ Giovanna is preparing the fat Native Xmas turkey for the festive binge. 8 films this year. 2 award nominations. Happy Xmas everyone.
